Miss Tucson Valley's Outstanding Teen Contestants

Miss Tucson Valley's Oustanding Teen Pageant is a preliminary for the Miss Arizona's Oustanding Teen Pageant.

Miss America's Oustanding Teen is a scholarship-based program offering
accomplished teens the opportunity to be awarded funds for college. The
program promotes scholastic achievement, creatiuve accomplishment, healthy
living, and community involvement for America's teens. In the past five years,
the organization has made available more than $3 million in college scholarships.

This pageant is open to all greater Tucson area residents or students who
meet the criteria below.

-Aged 13 (by December 4, 2011) to 17 (cannot turn 18 by July 31, 2012)
-No more than a Junior in High School
-U.S. Citizen, Female, never been married or pregnant

Judging Criteria

Talent (35%)
Private Interview (35%)
Evening Wear/On stage Question (20%)
Lifestyle & Fitness (10%)

In 1989, the Miss America Organization founded the “platform”, which requires
each contestant to choose an issue about which she cares deeply and that she
will serve during her year. The Miss America's Outstanding Teen program
continues this rich tradition.

All Miss Tucson Valley's Outstanding Teen contestants will be asked to pay
a $100 entry fee to help with operations expenses.

PLEASE NOTE: If you compete in the Miss Tucson Valley's Oustanding Teen pageant and receive a titl or sponsorship, you will be heading to Miss Arizona's Oustanding Teen Pageant orientation December 17th & 18th, 2011; Miss Arizona's Oustanding Teen Pageant is scheduled for January 21st & 22nd, 2012.

Pageant Details

The pageant will be held with the Miss Tucson Valley Scholarship Pageant on December 4th, 2011. All contestants must report that morning between 8:00am - 9:00 am. Once contestants have reached the school, please be prepared to stay ALL day. Parents may not be in the dressing rooms nor the auditorium after 1pm.

Awards:
Winner: $100 Scholarship,traveling crown, official sash. Qualifies to compete at Miss Arizona's Outstanding Teen Pageant January 21st & 22nd (receives $400 off entry).
All participants: Eligible to receive sponsored title and discount off state pageant entry fee.
